Narrative Description of Project:

The project includes the relocation of the existing processes and equipment from Kings Godowns Commissary to a larger and expanded location at Katko Complex. The facility will occupy 8 newly constructed godowns, combined to form one processing unit. The processes to be housed include areas for processing of food/food products to serve Java Outlets in the East African Region.

The scope of construction works covers Interior Fit Out, Plumbing & Drainage, Process Hot & Cold Water, HVAC, LPG Gas & kitchen hoods, Compressed Air Pipework, Cleaning Foam, Oil Separators, Refrigeration – Chillers & Coldrooms, Solar Water Heating, Fire-fighting, Detection & Suppression, LV&MV Power, Lighting, Power Backup, Distribution Boards, Transformer, Generator and Data installations.

Description of Actual Services Provided:

Full project Management (PM) services and design consortium lead. The services include coordination of architectural designs, mechanical and electrical designs, Civil/Structural Engineering designs, Fire & Life Safety Engineering, statutory approvals, tender documentation, tendering and recommendations for award of contract.

The PM services cover project implementation plan, design coordination & workshops, value engineering, risk analysis & workshops, baseline & progress schedule, prequalification of Contractors, tender evaluation process & report, commissioning plan, QA/QC, consultant’s performance evaluation and dispute mitigations.
